Brendan Rodgers did well to hang onto Dembele, but Celtic and their manager are resigned to eventually losing their star striker.
United’s interest could be reignited in the coming summer window and Dembele’s team said this week he would only leave the Hoops for an elite team.
Everton and West Ham held talks with Dembele last summer as well, but it seems that the goalscorer will only join a top six Premier League side.
Celtic are set to make an incredible profit on Dembele, having only paid a compensation fee of £500,000 to Fulham in 2016.
Jose Mourinho already has a host of promising young strikers at United with Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku all under the age of 24.
