Rose, known in part for showing off her curvaceous figure to promote a feminist message, had said she was pondering a reduction.
My boobs are stupid heavy, my back hurts and I can’t wear cute lil shirts without a grandma bra,” she complained in an Instagram post in July. She also asked followers for advice about possible post-surgery scarring.
But in a video the day before her operation, she appeared ready for the change.
“Spaghetti straps,” she said. “I’m really excited about spaghetti straps.”
Rose has been active in her support for sex-positivity and gender equality. In October she hosted her third annual SlutWalk in Los Angeles to raise awareness of so-called “slut-shaming” and rape culture.

8-Months Pregnant Woman Shot by Custom Officers In Ogun State

The operatives of the Nigeria Customs Service at the Iyana-Iyesi area of Ota in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, have reportedly shot a pregnant woman, identified as Olugunna Bukola, in Ogun State.

The victim who was said to be 8-months pregnant and a staff of IBEDC Ota, was allegedly shot by the NCS operatives attached to the Federal Operation Unit (FOU) Ikeja, around 7.45a.m. while on her way to resume at the office.

While speaking to a correspondent, a resident of the area who witnessed the incident, said the woman was hit by stray bullets on her back and the left side of her body, when the customs officials were on the pursuit of rice smugglers in the area.

The source also said though the woman was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, he was not sure if she survived the gunshot wounds or not.

It was also reported that the customs official who shot the pregnant woman was later arrested by policemen attached to Obasanjo Farm police station and later taken to Sango Police Station.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Ogun State Customs Area Command, Abdullahi Maiwada, however, confirmed that the incident, but said the woman was only brushed by stray bullets and not hit.

According to him, the officers were on a trail of a suspected smuggled vehicle, and not rice as claimed, when they were mobbed by some “unpatriotic members of the public”.

“The officers were on a trail of a suspected smuggled vehicle and in the process, they were mobbed by some unpatriotic members of the public. The officers were left with no option than to shoot sporadically into the air, in the process, the woman was brushed by a stray bullet.

“The Customs officers were in police station for safety to avoid mob attack not the insinuation that they were arrested by the police. We spoke with the relative of her husband and the doctor, they both confirmed that the woman is responding to treatment,” Maiwada stated.

Brother in-law of the victim, Tosin Ologunna, said she had been stabilised at the hospital, adding the pregnancy was not also affected.

In the words of Tosin,

“I thank God that she who was shot this morning is now okay and stable. The pregnancy too, the doctors said it was okay. The victim is my younger brother’s wife and I am happy she survived the gunshot.

“But I must tell you that we feel cheated and we want justice to be done in this case. Imagine the Police Area Commander of Sango just instructed that the hospital bill be paid and nothing more. To me, this is cheating and unfair,”

Actress Maryam Charles blasts

In a post she made on her Instagram today, Maryam says the reiterated that the said doll isn’t for broke guys as it costs a whooping N800,000.

 She didn’t stop there, she also listed out things a human girlfriend can do, that a doll can’t. She wrote;

Actress Maryam Charles blasts
To all the men celebrating the new s*x doll and throwing shades at women, this is for you.

A responsible man will not go on social media to celebrate man-made doll because it has been carefully designed to have intercourse, y’all need to grow up and stand up to your responsibilities.

Even the doll that is making you happy is not designed for broke guys! It’s cost about N800,000 without the addition of the maintenance cost, yet you feel this is a better replacement to your girlfriends? What madness!

If you want to wake up, have a lady next to you and stay happy, you have to take good care of the lady, that’s when she can happily have s*x with you and be meaningful. There are lots of things s*x doll will never do for you, its high time we started facing reality with ourselves.

Will the doll give you a kiss when you’re leaving home for office?

Will the doll call you to check up on you during office hours?

Will the doll give you a welcome back kiss?

If you’re disturbed, will the doll advice you?

The list continues like that… wise up and be a true man not a ‘doll’ man.

Abuja Man Prevented From Committing Suicide Allegedly In Support Of A Presidential Aspirant (Photos)

A social media user who resides in the federal capital territory, has shared some shocking photos while narrating how Abuja residents prevented a man from committing suicide in public.
The man attempting to commit suicide

Here's how an Abuja-based Facebook user, Ejike Sunday Ugwu, who posted the photos online narrated the story;

*****************

"What I saw at Nicon junction in the Maitana axis of Abuja this Monday morning went a long way to remind me that here ( Nigeria) is nothing but a drama theatre.

On my way to work today, we drove to Nicon junction, we met a young man seated on an advert galary above the ground with rope tied round his neck, a poster of a presidential aspirant stick on his cloth and 2019 boldly inscribed on his white agbada (native wear). He wore a white shoes to match and a pair of eye glasses.

People gathered, include force men since it's a traffic moment, almost all stopped over to understand what was happening. The young man through the help of some Nigerians was untied and helped to climb down from the galary!

According to popular opinion, He planed to commit suicide as a show of support to the Presidential aspirant!

Now, my questions are:

1) Where on this earth is threat to commit suicide a way of projecting opinion?
2) What has a presidential aspirant and 2019 to do with a young man attempting to take his own life?
3) When will Nigerian youths realize that these elderly really do not have our future in their agenda?
4) Those that trecked from Lagos to Abuja in 2015, can they still treck from Amac to Gwagalada for the same reason today?
5) Is this how we(the youths) will form leaders of tomorrow?

These and many other questions are demanding answers to. And as we are few months away from another decisive moment (general election), we can only do ourselves a favour by tactfully discharging our civic right of voting with your future in mind and not pocket for immediate gratification!

God bless Nigeria." (sic)

Arsene Wenger Speaks On Losing Alexis Sanchez

Alexis Sanchez and Arsene Wenger Win at Facebook Football Award.

Arsene Wenger is resigned to losing Alexis Sanchez and believes that Arsenal fans have made their peace with him leaving as well, claiming that the loss of former forward Robin van Persie to the same Manchester United side in 2012 was much more painful.

Arsenal and Manchester United are thought to be nearing a conclusion on negotiations of a swap deal that will see Henrikh Mkhitaryan heading to London as Sanchez moves the other way.

The move is a blow to the Gunners, with Wenger having already admitted that a deal was close to completion. Still, the French boss does not think Arsenal fans will feel the same anger over the move that they felt when Van Persie left for the Red Devils.

“We took Van Persie when he played in the reserve team at Feyenoord,” said Wenger in quotes reported by The Telegraph.

“We made a long work with him. When you get them there and, after they leave, that is the most painful.”

The Arsenal manager also expects the arrival of Mkhitaryan to offset the impact of losing his Chilean star, and believes the Gunners faithful will be fine with the deal the clubs have struck.

“Our fans know Alexis will not extend – they have accepted that idea and the fact it will not be one-way traffic,” he said.

“It will be other-way traffic as well and that makes the whole thing a bit smoother, maybe a bit less disappointing. We lose a player, yes, but we could gain another player. I think one would replace the other.”

The deal being offered to Sanchez by Manchester United will reportedly make him the highest-paid player in Premier League history, with the contract reported to be just under £27 million a year with a £20m signing-on fee.

And Wenger believes that, with the way things are headed, it’s impossible to rule out seeing a player on a £1m-a-week deal in the future.

“You cannot rule anything out,” he said. “We arrive to a level where the money for players who are free is so big, and the transfers so big, that the players think, ‘It’s better I go to the end of my contract.'”

Wenger and Arsenal will be in action on Saturday against Crystal Palace, while Manchester United face Burnley on the same day.

Actress Jameela Jamil Gives Men A Lesson In How Not To Be Like Aziz Ansari

Actress Jameela Jamil wants men to do better.
In the wake of sexual assault allegations against comedian Aziz Ansari, Jamil, star of the TV series “The Good Place,” has some advice. In a post on her website titled “What We Need to Learn from the Aziz Ansari Clusterfuck,” Jamil says she has “no right, nor inclination, to comment,” on the assault allegations against Ansari, and instead focuses on the concept of consent.
The Ansari story “has indeed sparked an interesting conversation about consent, both technical and more importantly, emotional, and how vital it is to read the room and make sure the other person is not just willing, but damn well enthusiastic,” Jamil writes. “Especially, in my opinion, if that person is the one to be penetrated. You want to enter them. You best ensure you are a welcome guest, not someone who just begged, pressured, guilt-tripped or harassed their way inside.”
Jamil points to the “bullshit fantasy” of pornography as a main reason men feel they can objectify women.
“We have allowed pornography to continuously promote that narrative that a woman is a hole for a man to enjoy when and how he feels like it,” the British-born actress writes, arguing that the mentality leads to women finding sex dissatisfying.
“Learning sex from pornography is like learning how to drive from The Fast and the Furious. A terrible idea,” she writes.
Jamil also places blame on popular culture, and blasts music videos, “where the girls are always practically naked and performing rehearsed dance routines for the men, who are sitting there on their arses, sometimes in outdoor winter layers, doing nothing other than enjoying their needs being met.”
She critiques music lyrics as well, which she says have gone from “’Try a little tenderness,” to

“MURDER THAT PUSSY. BEAT THAT PUSSY UP. PUT THAT PUSSY IN A TOASTER. SHRED THE PUSSY AND PUT IT IN THE BIN. THROW THE PUSSY OUT THE WINDOW. FLUSH THE PUSSY DOWN THE TOILET.
″(Poor old pussy having a terrible time.)”
The culture’s message to men, Jamil says, is that they “do not need to worry about what our needs and boundaries are.”
Which is why Jamil argues that mere consent isn’t enough.
“CONSENT SHOULDN’T BE THE GOLD STANDARD,” she writes. “That should be the basic foundation. Built upon that foundation should be fun, mutual passion, equal arousal, interest and enthusiasm.”
Jamil’s response to babe.net’s story about Ansari — which Jezebel calls “amateurish” and says “left the subject open to further attacks” — echoes the sentiments of some female writers who have raised the story of a young woman’s crushing experience as an opportunity to discuss what women have been conditioned to expect in their romantic and sexual lives.
“If the #MeToo movement is going to amount to sustained culture change ― rather than simply a weeding out of the worst actors in a broken system ― we need to renegotiate the sexual narratives we’ve long accepted,” wrote HuffPost’s Emma Gray. “And that involves having complicated conversations about sex that is violating but not criminal.”
Jamil suggests those conversations sometimes need to happen during sex, and encouraged women to “act in honour of your needs” (that is, she mentions, as long as one feels safe).
Jamil urges men to step up as well.
“’erm…Ok’ shouldn’t be encouragement enough for you,” she writes. “You can and must do better.”
