Meet some trans soldiers affected by Donald Trump's recent ban




                     

According to the Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman, General Joseph Dunford, Trans soldiers can continue to serve in the military until President Trump and the secretary of defense issue an official order.

Dunford releaseda statement yesterday saying the trans policy won’t change until President Trump gives direction to the secretary of defense.

“I know there are questions about yesterday’s announcement on the transgender policy by the President There will be no modifications to the current policy until the President’s direction has been received by the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary has issued implementation guidance.”
