Eight Homes have been scheduled to take part in this year ’s Kidsport Charity Cup slated for today at the Campos Mini Stadium .
The event , a one-day grassroots football tournament being played between Orphanages and Homes for the less privileged in Lagos State .
Scheduled for today ’s championship are the SOS Isolo , SOS Owu , Street Child Care and Welfare Initiative , Citadel of Grace Home and Arrows of God.
Others include Project Friendship Initiative , Child Life Line and Habitation of Hope .
According to the organisers, the championship is supported by the Hope Alive Initiative ( HAI), an innovation of the House of Oduduwa Foundation under the umbrellas of His Imperial Majesty , Arole Oduduwa , Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi , Ojaja II , Ooni of Ife .
Aside its backing of the Kidsport Charity Cup , HAI, also supports other NGOs , while it hopes to reach a large number of people regardless of geographical limits to eradicate the perils of suffering in today’s reality .
