The Nigeria Police Force has arrested a woman , Doris Ossai , with 187 bags of substance suspected to be Indian hemp in Masaka, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State .
Spokesperson for the NPF, Jimoh Moshood, disclosed this while addressing journalists in Abuja , the country ’s capital, on Friday .
According to him , the arrest followed a coordinated operation by the Inspector -General of Police ’s Special Tactical Squad , adding that efforts were being intensified to apprehend other suspects .
Ossai , while speaking with journalists , denied the allegation , maintaining that she was a fish seller and owner of the house where the substance was found .
She said the house was rented by one Monday Osaze , who told her that he wanted to move in with his family .
Moshood disclosed that the suspect would be charged to court as soon as investigation was completed .
